Chlorophyll-a CV
The Chlorophyll-a CV value
is used in computing bloom frequencies
(% of time Chl-a
exceeds 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, & 60 ppb) based upon observed or
predicted Mean Chl-a.
It reflects
temporal variations in Chl-a and is computed as the standard
deviation of measured ln(Chl-a) across dates at a given station within a given growing
season.
A
default value of 0.62 has been calibrated to CE reservoir
data. Values in the range of 0.5 to 0.7 are typical of other lake
and reservoir data sets.
